The Little Space of (Our) Wonder 2
2012 | mixed-media installation | dimension variable
is a story about the adventure of Curious People who take the journey of time travel from their worlds to the fantastic world of “The Little Space of Wonder 2”. The places (shown in the map) are filled with magic and wonder of the places in which they probably have never encountered or experienced before. They all wonder at times what the places they enter would be like if they track the paths drawn on the map. Likewise Alice follows the White Rabbit down a rabbit-hole to Wonderland, Curious People decide to follow and explore the spots where the map point out. Somehow the map secretively leads the Curious People to discover the landmarks of the places: “Potato Head Artists & The Galaxy Tourists”, “The Lady in Furry Monsters Land” and "The Kingdom of Tri-Color".
Their adventures end when they have discovered all the places. However, in the moment while returning to their world, Curious People wonder among themselves and consider if the experiences they have encountered are merely hallucination or daydreaming. At the end of the story, eventually they realize that all the experiences were all imagination in their own minds.

Statement:
"Drawing is like taking a line for a walk" – Paul Klee
The quote by Paul Klee inspired me literally to explore the idea of taking the line for a walk. In this project I explore the boundary between drawing and sculpture. I attempt to create a connection between the two mediums by combining its various elements and principles such as line as line work, color, visual representation, space and rhythm.
