“Every great dream begins with a dreamer. Always remember, you have within you the strength, the patience, and the passion to reach for the stars to change the world.” Harriet Tubman
“What do you want to be when you grow up?” A question that once was asked when we were a child. In those years, we dreamt high and beyond, believed that nothing is impossible. That one day we will do great things and possibly change the world for better. But we were also told that dream alone is never enough. It takes years of hard work, dedication, determination, discipline, sacrifice and many of other things to make it happen. Then years pass by, we witness few who are living out their dreams, and often society call them as “the lucky ones”. Yet there are countless of us who have left our dreams behind with the past, while some have just realised what our dream and purpose is truly all about. Also, there are still many who are struggling at the crossroad deciding to give up on their dreams or keeping up with the pursuit. Not to forget that most of us have let go of those big dreams that once got us excited and moved on towards working class heroes. Once a dreamer, always a dreamer, the dream never truly fades. And every dreamer has a unique story to tell about their dream. While mountains and valleys experiences are part and parcel of the journey, what always keep going in the pursuit of our dreams are rooted in our very personality, character and attitude.
Through this series, I hope to spark excitement in the hearts of people of all ages to live out their dreams despite all odds. To those who think their dreams are too big and impossible, may they have courage and faith to pursue and never give up because "Nothing is impossible, the word itself says 'I'm possible'!” - Audrey Hepburn. To those who have forgotten their long-lost dream, may they have hope and motivation to dream a new dream once again. To those who thinks it’s too late to pursue after their dreams, British Writer C.S Lewis once said: “You are never too old to set another goal or to dream a new dream.”
